First Edition

Snow was the word of the day here at casa de Cooper. At first it was small flurries, then it turned into a full on blizzard. Snow of this magnitude only causes the people in casa de Cooper to come down with a case of the snow crazies.

Kelly felt the need to open and shut Grammies drawers. Then it was on to sitting under the table while we had some dinner. Tortilla chips were chosen for breakfast, and ice cream was requested for dinner. She was flatly denied the ice cream. To calm her, Nintendo DS was brought out and small games were played.

Odd, cold medicine induced behavior also was noticed from DJ. First there was frenzied pacing, followed by manic eating. I caught him tossing patriotic basketballs with Kelly and then shook my head at their refrigerator magnet madness. I am pretty sure he watched the fire go out just for pure entertainment value alone.

Not even Mama Coop was immune to the snow crazies. For some reason her symptoms were German pancake baking, followed by casserole dish breaking. She did not break it in the normal fashion of dropping on the floor. No no. She used the tried and true method of cold liquid into hot glass to break her dish. It was a creative and visually pleasing way to do it. I gave her five stars for style.

Injured star basketball player Savy Coop was displaying her own interesting symptoms. I really liked them though. When all of us were down in the dumps with our weird goings on, she calmly pointed out the brighter side of things and suggested a funny movie to watch together. Enjoyable. Savy talked to us about how crazy the styles were in the 90's and made us feel like dinosaurs for having hairstyles that required a can of aqua net. Tight rolling her jeans was something that she professed to not knowing how to do as well. Strange. Finally she taught us all a new word. Precious-ness. Only to be out done by DJ with even sweeter word Prec-o-licious.

My only symptoms were constant phone filming. It was strange, feeling the desire to video everything I saw with my cell phone. First it was the snow, then it was Kelly. Then of course I had to film Kelly watching the snow. I knew I had a problem when the thought of filming Kelly looking at the snow from the outside crossed my mind. My remedy was a simple one; diet vanilla pepsi and a bean burrito followed by a memory book session with Mama Coop. It helps I promise.

If you, or anyone else you know is feeling the surge of the snow crazies reach out and help them. I recommend suggesting homemade cinnamon rolls and watching a good movie. Extreme cases might need back rubs and board games.
